Travel Sonographer Job Details

• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call and Weekends: No call and no weekend shifts
• Patient Volume: Approximately 7–9 detailed ultrasound studies per day
• Travel Flexibility: May float within scope to nearby affiliated clinical locations as needed

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Sonographer Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional ultrasound experience, including obstetric imaging
• ARDMS certification in OB/GYN and Nuchal Translucency (NT) credentials required
• Current BLS certification
• Demonstrated experience with high-risk obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine imaging
• Fetal echocardiography experience required
• Experience in OB/GYN and outpatient healthcare settings
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records and PACS
• Ability to perform detailed first-, second-, and third-trimester studies, including fetal anatomy surveys, fetal growth measurements, Doppler studies, transvaginal imaging, and nuchal translucency screening
• Current authorization and credentials required to practice in Washington State
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine physicians

Maternal-Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and technically accurate maternal-fetal medicine ultrasound examinations
• Complete detailed fetal anatomical surveys, growth assessments, fetal echocardiograms, and high-risk obstetric evaluations
• Evaluate fetal anatomy, biometry, placenta, amniotic fluid, umbilical cord, cervix, uterus, and adnexal structures
• Perform Doppler imaging, including umbilical cord and other clinically indicated vascular assessments
• Assist physicians during amniocentesis, amnioreduction, chorionic villus sampling, and PUBS procedures
• Recognize and accurately document findings associated with maternal or fetal conditions
• Communicate imaging findings clearly to maternal-fetal medicine physicians and the care team
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established imaging, safety, and quality standards
• Provide compassionate, professional care to adolescent and adult patients during potentially complex or high-risk pregnancies
