LPN Outpatient Clinic

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in an outpatient clinic setting is responsible for delivering nursing care and clinical support under minimal supervision. This role involves performing patient rooming, injections, EKGs, nasopharyngeal swabs, blood pressure measurements, ear flushes, and other clinical procedures. The LVN/LPN must demonstrate strong communication skills, adaptability, and dependability while working independently in a fast-paced ambulatory and pediatric family medicine environment. Responsibilities:

• Room patients and prepare them for examination and treatment.
• Administer injections and perform EKGs as ordered.
• Collect nasopharyngeal swabs and conduct blood pressure assessments.
• Perform ear flushes and other clinical procedures as required.
• Operate special equipment including EKG machines and point-of-care testing (POCT) devices.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and support staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document clinical activities.
• Adapt to various family medicine and pediatric outpatient clinic locations, including floating as needed.

• Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, preferably in ambulatory or pediatric settings.
• Competency in rooming patients, injections, EKG, nasopharyngeal swabs, blood pressure measurement, and ear flushes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Experience in family medicine and pediatric outpatient care.
• Familiarity with flexible scheduling and floating between multiple clinic locations.

• Must be flexible and willing to float among Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics clinic locations.
• Dependability and punctuality are essential.
• Must be ambulatory and capable of performing clinical duties across multiple sites.

• Five 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm.
• Shift assignments may vary within this timeframe.
