Position Summary:

The Yard Helper plays an important role in keeping our yard safe, clean, and ready to support daily operations. This position helps prepare equipment, organize materials, and keep the yard running smoothly so our field crews have what they need to get the job done safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, shows up ready to help, works safely, and understands that every job – big or small – helps keep our operations moving.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Keep the yard clean, organized, and ready for daily operations
• Wash, clean, and prepare trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
• Load, unload, and move materials and equipment safely around the yard
• Help drivers, mechanics, and field crews with daily tasks as needed
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness and report any damage or safety concerns
• Assist with routine yard maintenance and general housekeeping
• Safely operate forklifts or other equipment when trained and authorized
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Pitch in where needed and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Previous experience in a yard, construction, transportation, or equipment environment is a plus but not required

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Regularly work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, climb, and lift materials throughout the workday
• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds; occasionally move heavier materials with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, as authorized and trained
• Work around heavy equipment, moving vehicles, construction materials, and industrial tools
• Wear required PPE and follow all company safety policies and procedures

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $18 - $24/Hour

Overtime : Eligible after 40 hours of work in one week
