Position Overview

Nobie's, a Bib Gourmand-recognized restaurant, is part of the portfolio that earned our founders a James Beard Award Restaurateur finalist nod. We're seeking a hands-on, hospitality-driven Assistant Manager to help lead our front-of-house team. This is your chance to take your career to the next level with an independent, family-run kitchen and dining room known for exceptional food and genuine hospitality.

What You'll Do

• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and welcoming service
• Lead, coach, and motivate servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff during shifts
• Open and/or close the restaurant, including cash handling, POS reconciliation, and end-of-night reporting
• Step in to support any front-of-house position as needed (host stand, tables, bar) to keep service running smoothly
• Ensure guests receive a consistently excellent experience, and resolve guest concerns promptly and graciously
• Assist with staff scheduling, onboarding, and ongoing training
• Partner with kitchen leadership to ensure smooth communication between front- and back-of-house
• Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with local regulations
• Help maintain beverage and retail inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships as needed
• Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive team culture
• Assist with special events, private dining, and reservations management

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of restaurant management or supervisory experience, ideally in fine-dining/chef-driven environment
• Genuine passion for food, wine/beverage, and hospitality
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, especially under pressure
• Comfortable with POS systems, scheduling software, and basic administrative tasks
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Food handler and alcohol service certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• A team-first attitude and commitment to creating a respectful, welcoming workplace for staff and guests alike
