Travel Required: NO Job Description Job Purpose Responsible for loading and running press brake machines to bend and shape sheet metal to exact specifications on blueprints. Duties and Responsibilities

• Reads and follows detailed blueprints and schematics
• Performs loading and unloading of material by changing tools and selecting proper machine settings
• Inspects and maintains press brake equipment for conformance with safety regulations
• Changes the press brake’s oil and filters; Degreases various parts of the press brake
• Corrects issues related to safety before performing operations
• Prioritizes production runs to maintain production schedules
• Ensures optimum machine performance through sharpening of tool as required
• Inspects all finished parts for imperfections and overall quality
• Resolves quality, as well as mechanical problems, and repair minor issues/adjust equipment as required
• Completes lock out/tag out procedures as required by OSHA
• Troubleshoots issues as they arise and call technical support as needed
• Cleans press brake and work space daily; Organizes work space; Scraps all non-usable parts
• Performs other tasks or duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Ability to use math skills to read and interpret blueprints that contain precise measurements and to make calculations necessary to match specific designs
• Ability to properly read and use measuring tools as required
• Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems
• Excellent time management skills to work within deadlines and complete tasks efficiently
• Excellent attention to detail

Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, such as high temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, crawl or balance. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Direct Reports NONE.
