Job Title: General Laborer (1st or 2nd Shift) ($18.00/hr.)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our production team. You will be responsible for folding and assembling vegetable boxes with a partner, stacking them once completed, and repeating this task throughout your shift. This role involves physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, twisting, and performing housekeeping functions to ensure machinery functions properly, reduce hazards, and maintain the plant's appearance. You will contribute to a team environment by cross-training and filling in for other operators during absences and breaks. We are looking for individuals to start as soon as possible. 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday through Friday

2nd Shift: 3:00pm- 11:00pm Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Fold and assemble vegetable boxes with a partner.

• Stack boxes once finished and repeat the task as necessary.

• Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, twisting, etc.

• Conduct housekeeping functions to maintain machinery and plant appearance.

• Contribute to a team environment through cross-training and filling in for other operators.

Essential Skills

• Manufacturing experience

• Production experience

• Labor skills

• Machine operator experience

• Forklift or Pallet Jack experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Ability to work in a loud, hot, humid, dusty, greasy, and high-volume environment

• Willingness to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for the duration of the shift

Work Environment

This position offers two shifts: First shift runs from 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday, and Second shift runs from 3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday. The facility is a warehouse environment, not climate-controlled, and can become very hot in the summer. Safety is a priority with large machinery present. The facility is smoking-free, and contractors must remain on the property during their shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
