Plant Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations. This leader will be responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement while developing a high‑performing team. The Plant Manager will oversee production, maintenance, quality, shipping/receiving, and operational performance to ensure customer expectations and business objectives are consistently achieved. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership for daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and delivery commitments are met. Lead and develop production managers, supervisors, and department leaders while promoting a positive, team‑oriented culture. Champion workplace safety and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, increasing productivity, improving OEE, and minimizing downtime. Manage plant financial performance, including budgets, labor utilization, manufacturing costs, and operational efficiencies. Monitor and improve key performance indicators including safety, quality, productivity, scrap, downtime, throughput, and on‑time delivery. Partner with engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and leadership teams to improve plant performance and resolve operational challenges. Ensure preventive maintenance programs are effective to maximize equipment reliability. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production and quality issues. Foster employee engagement, accountability, and professional development throughout the organization. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership experience. Demonstrated success leading manufacturing operations in a fast‑paced production environment. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor costs, and manufacturing performance. Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and decision‑making skills. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety programs. Experience tracking and improving manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, scrap, throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, and on‑time delivery. Preferred Experience Manufacturing experience involving plastics, polymers, rubber, or composite materials. Experience with plastic or rubber compounding. Extrusion manufacturing experience. Knowledge of resin, polymer, additive, and raw material handling systems. Experience implementing process improvements in highly automated manufacturing environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
