Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Russell Tobin Sr. Associate Recruiter at Russell Tobin Job Description Position: Paralegal (Private Wealth) Location: Charlotte, NC Type: Permanent Overview: A premier investment firm specializing in private markets is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support its Legal & Compliance team. This role focuses on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and asset management activities related to a suite of investment vehicles, primarily those governed under the Investment Company Act of 1940. The role partners closely with attorneys in the U.S. and Europe and reports directly to the lead attorney for the Private Wealth division. Key Responsibilities: Manage the legal lifecycle of private market transactions—from coordination to documentation to post-closing administration. Assist in corporate governance duties, including board and shareholder documentation, meeting coordination, and minutes. Prepare and review subscription documents for private equity, co-investment, and secondary transactions. Support the implementation and monitoring of the fund compliance program; assist the CCO with reporting and transaction review. Review and negotiate NDAs/confidentiality agreements. Handle investor transfers and documentation for fund products. Liaise with internal legal and compliance professionals on entity and operational matters. Coordinate regulatory filings and invoice/legal operations tracking. Requirements: 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably within a fund formation team or legal department of an investment firm. Strong working knowledge of investment structures (PE, real estate, infrastructure). Experience with corporate governance, SEC/1940 Act compliance is a plus. Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Comfortable working independently and under pressure in a fast-paced, professional setting. Strong written and verbal communication. Excellent document handling and project management abilities. Commitment to ethical standards and integrity.
