We are seeking a highly experienced bartender to join our team and contribute to the exceptional guest experience that makes Bar Stella a neighborhood favorite.

We are looking for a seasoned bartender with a passion for mixology, customer service, and the craft of cocktail making. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in high-end or craft cocktail bars, a deep knowledge of spirits and ingredients, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and personable demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Craft a wide range of cocktails, including both classic recipes and innovative drinks
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on spirits, wine, and beer to enhance guest experience
• Engage with guests in a warm and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere
• Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and organization behind the bar
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies as necessary
• Assist with training and mentoring junior bar staff
• Handle high-volume service with efficiency while maintaining accuracy and consistency in drink preparation
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Advanced Skills and Expertise:

• Expert mixology skills, including creating bespoke cocktails, advanced techniques (e.g., infusions, fat-washing, sous-vide), and creative garnishing
• Comprehensive knowledge of spirits, including sourcing, aging processes, and flavor nuances across whiskey, rum, gin, tequila, mezcal, and more
• Proficiency in wine and beer, including pairing with food and knowledge of vintages, regions, and brewing methods
• Experience in bar program development, including designing and executing seasonal or signature cocktail menus
• Advanced cocktail techniques, such as smoking, clarification, molecular mixology (e.g., foams, caviar, spherical ice)
• Ability to manage efficient high-volume service while maintaining attention to detail and personalized guest interactions
• Leadership and training skills for mentoring junior staff and conducting bar standards training
• Expertise in inventory management and cost control, with a focus on minimizing waste and maximizing profitability
• Strong guest experience enhancement skills through personalized service and understanding guest preferences

Requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of bartending experience in upscale, high-volume establishments
• In-depth knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Experience with inventory management and bar organization
• Flexible availability, including weekends and late nights
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS or ServSafe)
