Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 6:45 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Some Holidays Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Level I Emergency Department setting
• Care for admitted patients boarding in the ED while awaiting inpatient bed availability, in designated holding areas or hallway spaces as needed
• Manage patient ratios of up to 6:1 in an ED holding capacity
• Float to acute care areas within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a compact state license (must be in hand at time of submittal; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered
• Current ACLS certification
• Prior experience with Cerner charting system
• Ability to work every other weekend and select holidays
• Two professional references required (may be pending at time of submittal)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Background in Acute Care, Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry nursing
• Experience working in a high-volume or Level I Emergency Department environment
• Familiarity with ED boarding and patient flow processes
