PRN Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Healthcare (Pediatric Focus) Location: Blairsville, GA Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a PRN home healthcare role in Blairsville, GA . This position requires pediatric experience and the ability to provide high-quality, individualized care in a home setting . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assessing, monitoring, and managing pediatric patients with medical complexities while supporting families and caregivers. Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in a home healthcare setting.
- Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and assess vital signs, respiratory status, and overall health of the patient.
- Perform and manage G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, and ventilator support as needed.
- Educate and guide families and caregivers on pediatric care, emergency response, and safety measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Coordinate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards in a home setting.
- Active RN license in the state of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of pediatric nursing experience (home healthcare experience preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (PALS preferred).
- Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, seizure disorders, and G-tube feedings is a plus.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills .
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different home environments .
- Must have reliable transportation and be comfortable traveling within the Stone Mountain, GA area.
