Our team of passionate, collaborative, and supportive Occupational Therapists works closely with school teams to help students succeed both academically and functionally. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated School-Based Occupational Therapist to join our growing team.
Job Description:
As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct and consultative OT services to students in educational settings. You will play a critical role in supporting students’ ability to participate fully in school activities by addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-regulation, visual-motor integration, and other areas impacting school performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized education program (IEP) goals based on student needs
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
Provide consultation and training to school staff to support carryover of OT strategies
Promote student independence and functional participation in the classroom and school environments
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the state of California
Experience in pediatric or school-based settings preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Passion for working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
