Chief Medical Officer – Behavioral Health Geisinger | Northeast Pennsylvania We are excited to partner with Geisinger to recruit a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for its Behavioral Health Hospital in Northeast Pennsylvania. This is a key physician leadership role with significant impact across Luzerne and Lackawanna/Wyoming Counties. Position Overview The Chief Medical Officer will provide clinical and strategic leadership for the psychiatric service line, overseeing a multidisciplinary team of physician providers and advanced practice clinicians. This leader will support psychiatry team members, advance models of care, and sustain service excellence across the region. Facility & Program Highlights 92-bed behavioral health hospital Average Daily Census: 80–84 patients Comprehensive services, including intensive outpatient programs Medical staff oversight: 7 physician providers plus a team of APPs Psychiatry residency program: 3 residents per year, with planned growth to 5 residents annually Required Qualifications MD or DO with completed residency in Psychiatry Active Board Certification Eligible for or able to obtain Pennsylvania medical license and DEA #J-18808-Ljbffr
