Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Critical Care Stepdown Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Cardiac drips Chest tubes Description: Weekly orientation on Mondays. Facility department details are associated with Critical Care Stepdown. Number of openings: 2 Weekend hours required: every other weekend Call requirements: none Possible float requirements to med-surg, but not likely. Unit has a total of 31 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4 - 1:5. The equipment utilized includes Baxter IV pumps and occasional epidural pumps. Electronic health record system used is Meditech. The patient population consists of adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses treated include post-vascular, post-CABG, CVA, respiratory failure, heart failure, and chest pain, particularly post-cath lab. Ideal candidate should possess a kind, respectful demeanor, be a team player, punctual, and flexible. Educational requirements include ADN or BSN. The dress code mandates royal blue scrubs. No unacceptable attire specified. Position created for contractor replacement.
