Shipping Specialist

Shipping SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Specialist to manage all aspects of domestic and international shipping operations. This role is responsible for preparing, packing, labeling, and processing shipments while ensuring compliance with carrier requirements, export regulations, and company procedures. The ideal candidate has experience with parcel and LTL freight shipments, export documentation, material handling equipment, and shipping software including UPS WorldShip.Job Details:Prepare, pack, and ship domestic and international orders accurately and efficientlyProcess shipments using UPS WorldShip and other carrier platformsCoordinate parcel, LTL, and freight shipments with various carriersGenerate shipping labels, bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and other shipping documentationProcess export paperwork including ITNs (Internal Transaction Numbers), AES filings, and customs documentationEnsure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and hazardous material guidelines when applicableOperate forklifts/fork trucks and overhead cranes to move materials and prepare shipments safely and efficientlyLoad and unload trucks, pallets, crates, and freight shipmentsVerify shipment accuracy against customer orders and company specificationsSchedule carrier pickups and communicate shipment status to internal teams and customersTrack shipments and resolve shipping delays, damages, or customs issues as neededMaintain accurate shipping records and documentation for audits and compliance purposesMonitor shipping supplies and maintain an organized shipping/receiving areaAssist with inventory movement, receiving, and warehouse support as requiredFollow company safety procedures and shipping best practicesOther duties as assigned by Manager/SupervisorPreferred Education/Training/Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required2+ years of shipping/logistics experience preferredExperience with domestic and international shipping processesProficiency with UPS WorldShip and common shipping carrier systemsKnowledge of parcel, LTL, freight, and export shipping proceduresExperience processing ITNs, AES filings, customs forms, and export documentationFork truck/forklift and overhead crane operating experience requiredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to lift packages and materials up to 50 lbs as neededFamiliarity with Incoterms and international trade complianceExperience working in manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environmentsComputer Skills:Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)OutlookInternetThe salary range in this posting depends on qualifications and experience.
