Surgical Tech

JOB SUMMARY Provides direct patient care and assists surgical teams in the operating room. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications. Arrange equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly. Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operative and diagnostic procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide instruments, sponges, and sutures. Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques. Perform surgical scrub duties. Assist with wound management and dressing application. Transfer patients to and from the operating room. Participate in patient care conferences and care planning. Document patient care activities. Schedule / Shift Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as required. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience Minimum 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist. Certifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Skills Proficient in sterile techniques and aseptic procedures. Knowledge of surgical instruments and their uses. Ability to anticipate surgical team needs. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
