Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Surgical First Assist - Surgical Services to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures at a Level 1 trauma center ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Participate in patient assessment and surgical planning with the healthcare team.
• Prepare and maintain operating room environments, including inventory control and sterilization of surgical instruments.
• Effectively manage surgical suites for procedures such as CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR.
• Support the management of vein harvesting and use of specialized surgical equipment.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• NBSTSA and CSFA certification required.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical First Assist; experience in high-acuity environments preferred.
• Familiarity with trauma Level 1 environments is required.
• Skilled in various surgical techniques including Cardiac, Aortic, and Vascular procedures.
• Ability to support team collaboration and patient-focused care initiatives.
