Retail Sales Associate (In-Store Sales)

Overview AAA Club Alliance is actively hiring for an experienced full‑time Retail Sales Associate. This role focuses on delivering exceptional service while driving sales success in a dynamic retail environment. Compensation Starting base compensation: $16.37 to $20.93 hourly, adjusted based on experience, location, and other factors as permitted by law. Employee incentive pay: average payout $162.00 – $389.00 per month. Store Hours & Work Week Mon – Fri: 8AM – 6PM Sat: 8AM – 5PM No Sundays. Full‑time associates work a 37.5‑hour week. Assistants can accrue up to three weeks of paid time off during the first year. Location 929 Myers Street, Richmond, VA 23230 Responsibilities Consistently up‑sell and cross‑sell AAA products such as new memberships, credit cards, and insurance referrals. Assist members in planning domestic travel vacations, including car rentals, hotels, vacation packages, maps, tour books, and triptiks. Answer overflow calls for Roadside Assistance during peak volumes, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery. Serve as backup in cashiering, tag and title, and IDEMIA services when applicable. Qualifications Previous sales and customer‑service experience with a proven ability to drive results. Effective written and oral communication skills. Proficiency navigating multiple websites and programs; strong computer skills. Notary Public designation or willingness to obtain within 6 months of employment. High school diploma or equivalent. Successful pre‑employment and post‑employment screenings (criminal, drug, state/ vendor). Ability to obtain any required membership or other licenses needed for essential functions.
