Freight Broker

Role Description - The Freight Broker role is a full-time, on-site position based in Fairfield, OH. The Freight Broker will source and secure freight from shippers, negotiate rates, and match loads with carriers to ensure on-time, cost-effective transportation. Daily responsibilities include managing load tenders, dispatching drivers, tracking shipments, and resolving any in-transit issues while maintaining accurate documentation. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and carriers, providing proactive communication and responsive service. The Freight Broker will collaborate with internal teams to optimize lane coverage, improve margins, and support overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers in the logistics industry Maintain current clients, generate leads and attract new prospects and develop a sales pipeline. Identify and secure new business opportunities through effective sales techniques Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for customers Coordinate and manage transportation services, including scheduling, tracking, and resolving any issues that may arise Utilize transportation management systems to optimize freight movement and improve efficiency Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any customer concerns Perform data entry tasks to accurately record shipment details and maintain documentation Requirements: Proven experience in logistics sales or a related field Strong sales skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Experience in transportation planning and routing is preferred Liberty Offers Competitive Salary and Incentive package Unsaturated CRM of Customer.
