Speech Language Pathologist, SLP

Role: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) responsible for optimizing communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing abilities of residents in a skilled nursing environment. Key Responsibilities Develop, oversee, and implement therapy programs for speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Assess, evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with relevant disorders. Provide training and education to residents and their families about therapy programs. Create and manage treatment plans, including initial assessments and discharge planning. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote resident recovery and well-being. Qualifications & Skills Valid professional license in NY in good standing. Experience in skilled nursing facilities or nursing homes required. Either SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY certification is acceptable. Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills. Compassionate, cooperative, and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
