Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant

The Medical College of Wisconsin's Department Sports Division is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialty medical care within the OR and specialty clinic setting. This position is located in Milwaukee and Menomonee Falls, WI. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching.

Department/Division Highlights:

Join the Sports Medicine team at the Medical College of Wisconsin as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and provide comprehensive care for athletes and active individuals in a collaborative academic practice. APPs work closely with orthopedic sports medicine surgeons and multidisciplinary team members to evaluate and manage musculoskeletal conditions in the clinic, assist with procedure, coordinate treatment plans, and support patients throughout their recovery and return to activity. This role offers the opportunity to practice at the top of your license while contributing to exceptional patient care, education, and innovation within a nationally recognized academic health system.

Qualifications:

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience of 2+ years working as an APP or first assist experience is preferred, not required.
• Highly desired previous experience in acute care, surgical specialties or medicine teams such as hospitalist, internal medicine, perioperative, cardiology and emergency.

Minimum Education:

• Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing from a nationally accredited organization.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies from an ARC-PA-accredited organization.
