Overview
Registered Nurse – First Assist (RNFA) needed for a travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 06/29/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,886 to $3,000 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for patients undergoing surgery in the perioperative environment.
- Assist under the direction of the primary operating surgeon during operative cases as the RN First Assistant (RNFA); maintain sterile technique and instrument handling.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care; coordinate with the healthcare team to optimize patient safety and outcomes.
- Adhere to established Standards of Nursing Practice and the facility’s conduct expectations, including service, people, quality, growth, and cost considerations.
- Document care and outcomes accurately; delegate tasks within scope and supervise support staff as appropriate.
- Collaborate with anesthesia and operating room staff to promote safe, efficient procedures and promote positive patient experiences.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- RN First Assistant (RNFA) experience or certification, or eligibility
- Perioperative nursing experience
- Ability to work in a perioperative setting and follow applicable policies and procedures
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills; ability to work under the direction of the operating surgeon
- Nursing degree (BSN preferred; ADN considered)
