Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). As a DSP you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) community participation and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. What Youll Do

As a DSP you will provide hands-on support that helps individuals build independence and confidence. Being a DSP is a rewarding experience you will genuinely make a difference in somebodys life. Responsibilities will include:

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals

• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation hygiene and household tasks

• Support individuals in community participation employment and social activities

• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication

• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills

• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment

• Communicate with Abound team members families and external parties (case managers etc.) as needed

• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules

• Complete ongoing training and professional development

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Valid drivers license current automotive insurance and reliable transportation.

• Ability to pass criminal record driving record and healthcare registry checks

• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary

• Lifting may be required depending on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $23/hour for non-acuity; $33/hour for acuity

$1000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20 hours/week
