L&D Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) with 4-5 years of experience to join a dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology and be adept in handling both routine and complex cases in a labor and delivery setting.Unit OverviewUnit Type: Labor & DeliveryCommon Patient Diagnoses: Ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum patients; Gynecological patients; Newborn careSpecialty Equipment: OBIX (integrated with Stork for information management)Patient Capacity: Total Beds: 18; Triage Beds: 3; Antepartum Beds: 2; Operating Rooms for C-Sections: 2; Recovery Beds: 3; L&D Beds: 8ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients throughout the labor and delivery process.Utilize clinical judgment in monitoring and responding to patient needs during ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum stages.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Float to other units as needed based on patient care requirements.QualificationsPossession of a current and active RN license in New York.BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are required and must remain current.Travel experience is necessary.Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC and Stork.Completion of skills checklist matching the specialty.Must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including both days and nights.Additional InformationApplicants should be prepared to document all relevant experience and be willing to engage in floating as required.
