Certified Apartment Staffing is hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community in Rock Island, IL.

MUST HAVE APARTMENT / MULTIFAMILY MAINTENANCE EXPERIENCE

This is NOT an entry-level position . We are looking for a hands-on maintenance professional who already understands apartment maintenance, resident work orders, unit turns, and the fast-paced demands of a multifamily property.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders and maintenance requests
• Perform apartment make-ready and unit-turn work
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general maintenance issues
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community
• Maintain vacant units, common areas, and property grounds
• Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Communicate professionally with residents and property management
• Assist with other maintenance duties as needed

Requirements

• MUST have previous apartment/multifamily maintenance experience
• Strong hands-on maintenance skills
• Experience with apartment turns and make-readies
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances
• Able to troubleshoot and complete work orders independently
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Professional attitude and strong work ethic
• HVAC/EPA certification is a plus
• Must be able to start ASAP
