Katy Family Dentists is seeking a patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis. Whether you are an experienced hygienist or a new graduate ready to begin your career, we are excited to meet individuals who are passionate about patient care, eager to learn, and committed to working as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, scaling and root planing, and preventive treatments.
• Obtain and review medical and dental histories.
• Complete thorough periodontal assessments and document findings accurately.
• Take diagnostic radiographs as needed.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and the connection between oral and overall health.
• Partner with doctors to identify patient treatment needs and support treatment acceptance.
• Utilize available technology and clinical tools to improve patient understanding and enhance care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Deliver an exceptional patient experience by creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
• Collaborate with doctors and team members to achieve practice goals and provide outstanding patient care.
• Contribute positively to the team's culture through accountability, communication, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Texas, or ability to obtain licensure before start date.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for patient education and preventive dentistry.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Comfortable learning and utilizing dental technology and digital tools.

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
• Completion of Tuberculosis (TB) testing prior to starting employment
