Job Summary Receives, rotates, wraps, and merchandises fresh and processed meats. Assists in merchandising seafood, rotisserie chickens, prepared foods, and cheeses. Provides assistance to members by answering questions and recommending products. Maintains all cleaning and safety standards within the meat department. Team members carry out job functions and responsibilities as assigned, support club policies, procedures and compliance, act with honesty and integrity, and uphold a safe and positive environment for members. Responsibilities Daily commitment to GOLD Member Standards: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA); Fast, Friendly, Full, Fresh, Clean. Maintain GOLD club standards daily, including full stocking, promotional execution, accurate signage, and a clean, organized environment. Understand departmental production and financial performance reporting and the impact of consistent execution on the business. Work as a team to achieve goals. Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities Receive, unpack, weigh, package, wrap, and label cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood. Assist the meat cutter in packaging freshly cut meats and seafood; may grind hamburger meat. Inspect and store meat upon delivery; ensure all delivered meat meets or exceeds company quality standards. Ensure that meat, seafood, prepared foods, and cheese cases are fully stocked. Rotate meats, poultry, seafood, prepared foods, and cheeses according to expiration dates. Follow established guidelines for disposing of damaged or expired products. Clean and sanitize all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department. Maintain all club policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed. Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance. Qualifications • Previous experience working with fresh and processed meats preferred.

• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Prior experience in a meat and/or deli department preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Environmental Job Conditions Most of the time involves moving on hard surfaces, bending, reaching, stooping, and occasionally scanning merchandise. Frequently requires lifting objects up to 30 pounds; may lift and move heavier objects with assistance. Work is performed indoors; occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
