PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST

Duties
You will be responsible for conducting public affairs functions for the organization, ensuring public affairs activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs.
You will be responsible for managing and executing the strategic communication plans, talking points, command messages and leading, as required, various cross-functional and joint communications teams tasked to directly support the command.
You will be responsible for serving as the social media manager and webmaster.
You will be responsible for representing the organization regarding assigned portion of the communications program with a variety of councils, boards, working groups, and panels inside and outside of the command.
You will be responsible for responding to information requests on assigned programs from the news media, special groups, and/or public; local, state, and federal elected officials; special interest groups, community, and civic organizations.
You will be responsible for performing special assignments and participating in special projects and initiatives.
$20 per hour
