Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Outpatient

Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, modify interventions as appropriate, and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, equipment, and modalities to support patient recovery.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or status changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Document patient care and progress in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
• Provide individualized patient and caregiver education.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and effective rehabilitation environment.
• Practice within the scope of the PTA Practice Act and APTA Code of Ethics.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience.
• Active Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient care skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Non-local candidate (must reside outside the facility's 50-mile radius).
• Current skills checklist and supervisory references required.
