Position Title Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach Position Number 897818 Position Category Administration School/Division Women's Lacrosse (division) Full-Time or Part-Time Full-Time Description Reporting to the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, the Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach assists the Head Coach in ensuring program success through skill development, recruitment, student‑athlete conduct, and various administrative responsibilities. The role requires adherence to UCS rules and regulations, including NCAA standards, and involves weekend and holiday work as appropriate. Responsibilities Assist with player development, focusing on proper technique, advanced skill instruction, and competition strategy including team building. Assist in evaluating and recruiting student athletes. Support the Head Coach in assessing performance, conduct, and abilities of individuals and lead coaching groups as assigned. Plan programs, prepare contests, scout opponents, conduct film breakdowns, manage practice sessions, and coordinate game and practice schedules. Support compliance with required forms (e.g., CARA LOGS), manage travel itineraries, oversee strength and conditioning, camps, clinics, recruitment, admissions, academic pre‑reads, student‑leadership development, equipment, financial planning, budgeting, purchasing, and fundraising. Participate in public relations activities, community outreach, marketing, development initiatives, and alumni engagement. Enforce all Hofstra University, Hofstra Athletic Department, CAA, and NCAA policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director. Qualifications Valid driver’s license. At least 1‑3 years of collegiate coaching experience. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Collegiate playing experience preferred.
