Commercial Casualty Trucking Senior Claims Examiner

Job Summary We are looking for a Commercial Casualty Trucking Senior Claims Examiner who is a highly‑motivated professional to join the Commercial Claims Liability Team. This role expands technical and procedural knowledge by handling complex coverage, high exposure, and litigation claims in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Handle GEICO's commercial, short‑haul and long‑haul trucking claims involving unrepresented individuals, pre‑suit files and litigation files. Conduct investigations to determine coverage and liability for claims involving serious injury. Evaluate, negotiate, and settle claims for damages. Maintain a pending diary of claims, working through settlement and resolution. Provide support to GEICO insureds that have become defendants in lawsuits and guide them through the litigation process. Provide direction to defense counsel. Travel to attend trainings, trials and other litigation process events. Present files to Senior Leadership. Requirements 3+ years of commercial trucking litigation claims handling experience. Ability to provide high‑quality customer service. Ability to actively listen to customers’ needs. Ability to negotiate effectively. Ability to multitask (listen and type; speak and navigate the system). Must meet corporate attendance standards. Must attain and maintain required state insurance department licenses. Keen attention to detail. Excellent presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in taking claims to trial. Salary Annual salary range: $77,900.00 - $120,950.00, depending on experience, location and market considerations.
