What You’ll Do

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you’ll play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and independence of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Monitoring residents’ health by observing vital signs, mental state, and physical condition.
• Providing medication reminders and following care plans while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
• Supporting residents with meal preparation and nutritional needs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks .
• Offering emotional support and companionship to foster a positive and engaging living atmosphere.
• Documenting observations accurately and in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Responding promptly to emergencies.
• Assisting residents with community outings or activities to encourage social engagement.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in home and community care environments. Experience working with individuals with MS, dementia, or Alzheimer’s is highly valued.
• Specialized Skills: Familiarity with mobility aids, patient monitoring, hospice, or home care is beneficial.
• Physical Capability: Ability to perform heavy lifting for certain caregiving tasks.
• Personal Attributes: Patience, compassion, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with seniors.
• Commitment to Care: A strong dedication to fostering dignity, independence, and well-being for residents.
