We are a dedicated nursing home committed to providing exceptional care to our residents. Our team of professionals works collaboratively to create a nurturing and supportive environment. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Food Service Director to join our team.

Position Overview:

The Food Service Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food service operations. This includes menu planning, food preparation, staff management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting, and a commitment to providing high-quality meals for our residents.

 

Food Service Director Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement nutritious and appealing menus that meet the dietary needs of residents.
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring meals are prepared to high standards of quality and taste.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, promoting a positive and efficient work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and sanitation.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Collaborate with dietitians and healthcare professionals to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions.
• Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Manage the food service budget, controlling costs while maintaining quality standards.

 

Food Service Director Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management, Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field preferred.
• CDM
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certification in ServSafe or a similar food safety program is preferred.
