Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a 29-bed birthing center unit
• Manage patient ratios of 4-6:1 during night shift alongside charge nursing staff
• Perform and interpret fetal monitoring including non-stress tests (NSTs)
• Care for high-risk obstetric patients including those with PPROM, preeclampsia, placenta previa, and preterm labor
• Support post-operative gynecological and urogynecological surgical patients, as well as GYN oncology post-op and postpartum complications
• Operate unit equipment including Welch Allyn vitals machines, CPN monitors, and POC glucose monitoring; document using Meditech / CPN EMR

• Active RN license valid for practice in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of current Labor & Delivery RN experience
• BLS certification required
• AWHONN certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required

• Prior obstetric (OB) nursing experience beyond minimum requirement
• Medical-surgical nursing background
• Gynecology (GYN) clinical experience

• Work alongside an experienced, tenured nursing staff in a busy and dynamic birthing center environment
