Job Description\n Med Ninjas is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n ***Candidates Must Be Willing To Float\n Basic Med Surg Unit\n 36 or 48 hours per week guarantees are available.\n \n Note: Overtime is not Billable until after 48 hours.\n SHIFT: DAYS 7AM - 7PM\n START: ASAP\n RATE: $88\n REQUIRED Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n \n BLS certification via AHA required\n RN License in state of employment or compact\n \n Weekend Requirement\n Every other weekend\n On Call Requirement\n No call\n Nurse / Patient Ratio\n 5:1 or 6:1\n EMR Used\n Epic\n Dress Code\n Ceil blue scrubs\n Summary:\n \n The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.\n \n Responsibilities:\n \n \n Meets expectations of the applicable Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.\n Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.\n Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice.\n Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.\n Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.\n Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.\n \n \n \n \n \n Job Requirements:\n \n Education/Skills\n \n Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred\n \n Experience\n \n 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred\n \n Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications\n \n BLS required\n RN License in state of employment or compact\n \n Work Schedule:\n 7AM - 7PM\n Work Type:\n Full Time\n \n About Med Ninjas\n \n At Med Ninjas, we make travel healthcare simple, so you can focus on what matters: caring for patients.
