As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at dynamic locations within the tech, media, telecom, and food and beverage industries. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. You will remain highly visible to provide reassurance to employees and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to designated areas, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures for locations in the technology, media, telecom, and food and beverage industries.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols or while monitoring access points.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
