Senior Medical Director in Safety is a full-time position responsible for managing medical safety experts, ensuring patient safety in drug development, and driving innovative safety approaches while leading regulatory interactions. Key Responsibilities Lead safety signal prediction, detection, evaluation, and risk management activities Develop and implement proactive pharmacovigilance strategies and risk management plans Provide medical guidance to Safety Science staff and mentor junior safety physicians Required Qualifications MD or equivalent medical qualification (active license to practice preferable but not required) 8-10+ years of pharmaceutical industry pharmacovigilance experience Experience with regulatory authority interactions Expert knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations Strong leadership skills with managerial experience in a matrix environment
