Job Description

Your Impact as an Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant

• Be a Critical Support in Urgent Situations: You'll be an essential part of the medical team, directly assisting veterinarians and technicians with hands‑on patient care in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ensure a Seamless Workflow During a Crisis: Your ability to anticipate needs and maintain composure will be key to keeping the clinic running efficiently, even during a medical emergency.
• Provide a Calming Presence for Clients: You'll be a reassuring point of contact for worried pet owners, assisting with check‑ins, payments, and communications with empathy and professionalism.
• Maintain High Standards Under Pressure: You'll uphold our commitment to excellence by ensuring accurate record‑keeping and maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment at all times.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• At least 1 year of veterinary experience, with ER or high‑volume experience preferred.
• The ability to stay calm, composed, and efficient during a medical crisis.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets, with proficiency in basic laboratory, pharmacy, and nursing skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.
• A flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
