Automotive Line Technician

Line Technician The Line Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. You will oversee the work of any apprentice technician assigned to him/her. We have the latest Hunter equipment throughout the shop and service areas. We also have all manufacturer tools organized and catalogued for ease of use. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Job Responsibilities Full repairs of any vehicle components. Emission diagnostic and repair capabilities, using shop supplied diagnostic equipment. Power train diagnostics, repair and rebuild (engine, transmissions, and rear ends). Understanding of vehicle suspension and brake systems including ABS and related electrical systems; diagnose and repair using diagnostic equipment. Full knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and their operations, including air bag systems. Electrical systems diagnostics and full repairs from simple installations to complex wiring harness diagnostics. Full knowledge of A/C systems and their operation; diagnose and repair A/C and use A/C recovery and recharge. Knowledge and use of special tools; read, follow, and understand wiring diagrams; use shop equipment such as laptops, A/C machines, brake lathe, alignment machine. Work efficiently to repair a vehicle within the proper time and quality standards.
