Senior Structures/Project Engineer (Bridge)

Job Description Dewberry is seeking a responsible, highly motivated, and detail oriented individual to join our structures department in Rancho Cordova, CA as a Senior Structures/Project Engineer (Bridge). The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of concrete and steel construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures). The candidate will also be involved in leading and developing Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) packages, field inspections, and performing construction design support services. Project Engineering responsibilities include being the technical lead on multidisciplinary teams, utility coordination, right-of-way needs assessments, funding justifications, and other items needed for project development. Required Skills & Required Experience Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering from an accredited 4-year engineering college is required California Professional Engineer (PE) License is required Master’s degree is preferred 10-15 years of experience in bridge and retaining wall projects Experience designing transportation related structures projects to Caltrans and local agency standards Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications with Caltrans Amendments Familiarity with Project Engineering and Project Development to Caltrans and local agency standards Proficiency using CADD (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred) Proficient in MS Office (WORD and EXCEL) Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong leadership skills and desire to deliver the highest quality projects to our clients Don’t meet every single requirement?
