Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding, contract-based opportunity impacting students from early childhood through 8th grade for the upcoming school year. This full-time position begins in mid-August and runs through late May, delivering direct on-site speech-language services in a supportive educational environment located near Cicero, IL. The district’s total caseload of 70 students is divided between two SLPs, with one FTE managing 45 and a .5 FTE supporting 25, allowing for focused, personalized intervention.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (CCC-SLP)
• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Speech Language Pathologist credential from IDFPR
• Valid ISBE number (required for submission)
• Experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Willingness to fully adhere to union policies and school district guidelines
• Committed to on-site service (remote/virtual work is not an option)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload from early childhood through 8th grade
• Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized intervention plans
• Collaborate with other professionals, staff, and families to support student progress
• Maintain timely records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations as part of the multidisciplinary team
• Provide direct and consultative services that foster optimal educational outcomes
