About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: High Acuity Med Surge / Respiratory Care Duration: Contract Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years in Med Surge/Telemetry License: Active RN license required (NH or Compact) Certifications: BLS, NHISS, ACLS Must-Have: Current skills checklist matching specialty, NURSYS report for license verification, dysrhythmia exam during onboarding with a preferred score of 80%. Description: Looking for an experienced RN for a high acuity medical-surgical/respiratory care unit. Common patient diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, gastrointestinal bleed, osteomyelitis, diabetic foot infections, hepatic encephalopathy, renal failure, bowel obstruction, end-of-life care, and wound management. The nurse-patient ratio is typically 1:5 and may sometimes go to 1:6. Floating to other units may be required as needed. EMR experience is preferred, particularly with Cerner. Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required. NHISS certification must be obtained prior to starting. The candidate must have a driver's license with an address matching submitted demographics. RTO (Request Time Off) must be included during submission. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
