DevOps Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT.

Summary:
Our client is seeking a local SLC, UT DevOps Engineer who thrives at the intersection of software development, automation, and IT infrastructure. This is not a traditional Systems Administrator role, nor is it a pure Software Engineering position. We are looking for someone who can leverage strong scripting and automation expertise to solve operational challenges, improve efficiency, and drive innovation across the organization's technology landscape. This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver who enjoys identifying manual processes, building automation solutions, and working across enterprise systems to create measurable business value.

What You'll Do:
* Design, develop, and implement automation solutions that streamline operational and administrative processes
* Build integrations between enterprise platforms using Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, and related technologies
* Automate IT governance functions, including user access reviews and identity management workflows
* Develop scripts and tools that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency
* Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to identify and execute automation opportunities
* Gather and consolidate user access data from multiple systems
* Design automated workflows that simplify and streamline access reviews

REQUIREMENTS:
* 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: DevOps Engineering; Automation Engineering; Systems Administration; Software Development
* Strong experience with Python scripting and automation
* Experience developing PowerShell scripts for operational and administrative tasks
* Hands-on experience building integrations and solutions utilizing REST APIs
* Experience using Git or similar version control platforms
* Microsoft ecosystem experience, including: Microsoft 365; Entra ID (Azure AD); Active Directory

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
