Adjunct Medical Assisting Instructor

Adjunct Instructors are hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year, depending on enrollment needs. Primary responsibility will be to teach anticipated day and/or evening Medical Assisting courses, which range from basic to advanced skill levels. Where applicable, adjuncts are required to maintain and/or provide licensure and certifications. Preferred Experience and Qualifications Experience with multi-cultural students and staff preferred Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural working environment Online teaching experience preferred Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare field and one (1) year experience including some combination of clinical, administrative, and or/ teaching experience OR Associate degree in Medical Assisting or related field and three (3) years’ experience including some combination of clinical, administrative, and or/ teaching experience AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) credentialing as a Certified Medical Assistant or credentialing in a healthcare related field, including but not limited to, Medical Insurance Billing and Coding, Phlebotomy, and/or Medical Office Administration Salary $1,000 per instructional credit hour #J-18808-Ljbffr Oakland Community College
