SMT Process Engineer

Position Overview: Develop, optimize, and maintain SMT manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency, and production performance while supporting NPI and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain SMT process standards.
  • Support NPI, stencil design, solder paste selection, and equipment programming.
  • Troubleshoot SMT defects and perform root cause analysis.
  • Improve yield, scrap, cycle time, and equipment utilization.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Design Engineering teams.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience with SMT and electronics manufacturing.
  • NPI experience.
  • Pick-and-place equipment.
  • Reflow.
  • AOI/AXI.
  • Process optimization.
  • RCA.
  • DOE.
  • SPC.
  • Lean/Six Sigma.
  • FMEA.
  • IPC standards.
  • Bachelor's degree.
