About the Position

Job Title: RN Labor and Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM (every 2 years for Labor and Delivery) Must-Have: AHA ACLS (preferred) Description: LD and Postpartum RN positions available for night shifts and every other weekend. Unit consists of 25 dedicated beds that encompass Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn, 2 Operating Rooms, 2 Recovery Rooms, and 2 Antepartum rooms. The clinician to patient ratio is 1:2-3 for evaluations and 1:1 for active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural. For postpartum, the ratio is 1:3-4. The average daily census includes 15-25 mothers, babies, and laboring patients. Charting system utilized is EPIC. Floating to other units is not required. Rotating shifts are not applicable; primarily night shifts with occasional evening requirements. Candidates must possess experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Circulating, and Newborn Care.
