TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Grand Island, Nebraska, 68803!

Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: Pediatric readiness certified and must be competent with pediatric patients. Description: The unit is designed to handle a variety of emergency situations. The Emergency Room sees approximately 50 patients per day. Patient-nurse ratios are 4 patients to 1 nurse. All patients are roomed within 7 minutes of arrival. There is a separate triage area, and primary RNs handle triaging for patients. Patients in the Emergency Room are intermixed with ER holds, with nurses managing their own holds. The department has a total of 21 regular private rooms, 2 trauma bays, 1 resuscitation room, and 1 FNE room. There are 2 dedicated seclusion rooms for psychiatric patients. In-house security is available. Respiratory therapists handle ABGs and breathing treatments while nurses manage EKGs. Patients are monitored by the EMR. Portable X-ray services are available within the department. Transport for CT services is managed by a separate department. The primary nursing staff draws 90% of lab samples. Nursing staff are required to work every other weekend and on holidays. Nursing staff are not allowed to wear artificial nails. A successful completion of an open-book exam during orientation is mandatory to maintain employment.
