Apartment Maintenance Technician

Requirements:

• CA Driver's License and insurance
• Must have your own basic tools
• The ability to work overtime if necessary for emergency calls (which may include weekends)
• Familiarity with maintenance demands and general repair knowledge for a 69-unit building

Duties and Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

• Completing unit turnovers
• Walking the grounds daily to assess and complete repair needs around the building
• Performing initial evaluations of building systems; prioritize most urgent requests
• Troubleshooting and making repairs in units such as: repairing fixtures (drywall/ painting/ ceiling fans), plumbing, electrical (outlet/ electrical switch repairs) and appliances such as microwaves, stoves, dishwashers, AC units, faucets, garbage disposals
• Working with the Maintenance Supervisor, follow-up and follow-through of work orders; confirm work is complete, accurate, including resident satisfaction

Experience:

• Property maintenance: 2 years (minimum)

This position is for someone who is self-motivated and proactive - who also has a professional work ethic and good communication skills - as they will be working under both the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.

The role is full-time starting at $25 to $28/ hr (depending on experience and qualifications), with full benefits - as well as the potential for growth overtime. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable taking initiative but also fine working under instruction as well when necessary.
