Quality Assurance Consultant

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Backend Test Lead for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is an 12+ month contract opportunity.

This position is for an onshore backend Test Lead to support testing for Private Bank and Data Strategy initiatives. The role involves leading a QA team while also being a hands-on tester, focusing on backend systems, ETL, and databases.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a QA team while also being hands-on with testing
• Manage the full testing and defect life cycle (SIT, Regression, UAT, PPV)
• Create and maintain testing documentation such as Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test Reports
• Perform functional and integration testing, both manual and automated
• Write and execute test cases using BDD format
• Conduct system integration testing (UI, API, and backend validation)
• Write complex SQL queries including joins, group by, etc

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience leading a QA team in a hands-on capacity
• Strong knowledge of ETL/Database testing
• Proficiency in Oracle SQL / PLSQL
• Experience with Hadoop
• Deep understanding of the testing life cycle, processes, and documentation
• Experience with Agile testing methodology and tools like JIRA
• Must have experience with BDD testing
• Must have system integration testing experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player
• Flexible to work one weekend a month for PPV (if needed)

Desired skills:

• API validation experience with tools like Postman or SOA Test
• Banking or Wealth Management domain knowledge
• Experience with Data Lake, TOAD, or Tableau

Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
