EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

This position is responsible for the daily operations of the cardiopulmonary rehab exercise program equipment area. Position also responsible for assisting participants with equipment orientations. Monitor Telemetry, provide participants guidance in safe and proper usage of all fitness equipment, performing preventive wellness assessments, baseline assessments, organize and implement programs pertaining to cardiopulmonary rehab and attend health fairs/outside events representing Augusta Health Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. Exercise physiologist will also provide education to inpatients discussing cardiovascular risk factors, cardiovascular diagnosis, and benefits to attending the Phase II Cardiopulmonary Rehab Program. Other duties include: Taking Blood Pressures, Palpate pulse, Pulse Ox saturation and perform blood glucose check. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science, Kinesiology, Sport Management or a Fitness Related Field or a combination of education, experience or certification from ACSM or must obtain ACSM within 6 months of being hired Current BLS certification ALCS certification within 3 months ACSM certification within 6 months Preferred 1+ year of Cardiopulmonary Rehab Experience Some benefits of working at Augusta Health include Generous paid time off to promote work life balance Free onsite parking Shift and weekend differentials Tuition reimbursement Onsite child care Company Information Augusta Health is a mission-driven, independent, nonprofit, community health system located in Fishersville Virginia in Virginia’s scenic Shenandoah Valley.
